We tune both vertical and grand pianos.  Generally once or twice a year is sufficient for most instruments, unless there is a problem with instrument stability or environmental conditions. 

If the piano has not been tuned in some time or has just been acquired and the condition is unknown, we can determine the necessary tuning interval when it is examined for the first time.  

We normally tune the piano to A440; unless otherwise requested.

If a piano is to be used in a performance, we prefer tuning the instrument as close to the recital or concert time as possible.
