If you’ve been to the symphony…

…or even just your nephew’s band recital, you’ve heard this sound. Before the conductor walks out, before any music is played, one musician stands up and plays a single note. What follows is a cacophony of sound, starting from that single note and then growing into a chaotic wave of sound covering the range of the instruments.

Why do they do this? The musicians are making sure they are in tune with each other, and they use a single note to do that: the note “A”. Specifically, the A that lives at 440Hz.

Your company, your team, your organization has an A440 too: your brand identity. Your brand serves as a unifying symbol, representing the vision and values and voice of your company, all in one small logo. Your team is made up of a wide variety of individuals, with different roles and personalities and jobs to be done. But before your people can be sent off to play their parts, they must first tune to each other and to a shared vision. Only then will their work harmonize.

Who am I?

My name is Paul Adams. I was born in Dallas, grew up in Chicago, and moved to Kentucky for college in 2007. I’ve worked for Christian non-profits for 13 years, creating marketing materials for print, social media, and everything in between. Along the way, I completed projects for businesses in a variety of fields, including commercial real estate, jewelers, bars and restaurants, counseling practices, private schools, landscaping, and more.

In 2024, I started A440 Creative with the goal of helping more businesses find their “A440” and to provide creative services that small businesses and non-profits aren’t often able to afford.

I currently live in Lexington, KY with my wife and two sons.
